My love for birth work dates back longer than I can remember. My passion for advocacy was ignited when my sister almost lost her life after giving birth to my niece. This is the foundation for my commitment to maternal health equity and achieving the best outcomes for Black & Brown women. Every birthing person has the right to a healthy and safe experience.
I believe birth is both a physiological and emotional experience, and families deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered in their choices, no matter their socioeconomic, racial, or ethnic background, or whether birth unfolds exactly as planned or requires flexibility and medical interventions. I embrace both a holistic health approach and modern medicine to realize the best outcomes for both mom and baby.
